After the Olympic Games, some athletes took a vacation while some embarked on new adventures. Journalist Alexandre Boyon details these possibilities on the set of 20 Heures, Friday October 18.
The post-Olympic Games was not the same for all the athletes. After his coronation with the French rugby sevens team, Antoine Dupont “had a good time in Ibiza and California where he met other mega stars of world sport like basketball player LeBron James”explains Alexandre Boyon, present on the set of 20 Heures, Friday October 18. For other athletes, the post-Games period was more difficult, as for Mathilde Gros, heroine of the world championships in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines in 2022.
Missing out on the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the champion admitted to having suffered from depression. Mental health is no longer a taboo subject. “It is more than ever at the heart of the concerns of athletes and those around them. You have to know how to regenerate and oxygenate yourself”details Alexandre Boyon who takes the example of judokate Amandine Buchard, individual medalist and Olympic team champion in Paris, who decided to take a rugby license.
