Substituted at half-time of Manchester United’s last match and forfeited for the double confrontation against the Central African Republic with Morocco, Noussair Mazraoui suffers from a heart problem.
The right side of the Red Devils actually felt palpitations during the last match against Aston Villa (0-0) and he
underwent a small heart procedure in the process. While an absence of between one and two months was initially mentioned, the coach of the Lions of the AtlasWalid Regragui, however, was reassuring on Friday at a press conference concerning the one he uses as a left back.
“We know that Mazraoui is out injured. They (the Manchester United medical staff, editor’s note) sent a report to our medical staff. He will be with us in November. It’s not dangerous what he has“, assured the technician, who is therefore counting on a rapid return, within a month maximum.
Regragui justifies the choice Youssef Belammari
In the meantime, Regragui called on local Youssef Belammari (Raja Casablanca) to replace the ex-Bavarian. “Youssef is a very intelligent player, he adapts very quickly. I know his mentality and his football. He has his chance with the little glitch of Noussair Mazraoui to whom we wish a speedy recovery. In my head, there is Mazraoui, then Aznou. Bellaamri will perhaps bring us technical quality. We still have to check with the staff regarding their availability“, commented the semi-finalist of the 2022 World Cup.
“We can have very nice surprises in this position, as was the case for (Yahya) Attiat-Allah at the World Cup. The latter could also come back“, he concluded. In the meantime, Attiat-Allah (Al Ahly) appears to be the big loser in recent months in this position.
