Excellence, avant-gardism, eclecticism are the values carried by the biennial, organized since 2013 by Ateliers d’Art de France. It is the unmissable event for arts and crafts French and international creation. We discover unique, unpublished, or specially created works. for the occasion.
For each of the creations that I proposed at this event, I really asked myself the question: what makes me tick?
The designer very quickly found an audience. In particular with the major luxury houses: Cartier placed two orders for its boutiques in Saudi Arabia and Thailand. In South Korea, it was Boucheron who called on his talent. In France, in Paris, we find his work in the Royal Monceau hotel and in the Vagenende brasserie in the Saint-Germain district.
At the crossroads between the art of mosaic and the art of stained glass, Myriam Hubert has developed her own technique of glass marquetry, a traditional art that she has evolved.
I am at the crossroads between traditional mosaic arts and stained glass art. So, I developed my own technique by drawing on both skills.
She is a creator and innovator, inspired by naturalist art nouveau and art deco. Geometric shapes, fauna and flora are sources of inspiration and opalescent glass is a material of infinite expression. In a sheet of glass, light is diffused over several levels in the material.
The key to the designer’s success is to have offered something different and innovative. Myriam Hubert’s creations – she calls them wall coverings – are like paintings. The artist knew how to be in the right place and at the right time, in line with the expectations of the interior design market. Today, the order book is still full, the master glassmaker continues her momentum.
