After being behind, the National Team finally won by a wide margin against Togo, moving closer to qualifying for the next African Cup of Nations.

See: Algeria – Togo (5-1): A good and clear victory!

Alexis Guendouz (5): Everything is not to be thrown away, but everything was not perfect for his first selection. Communicating poorly with Tougaï about the goal he conceded, he appeared quite feverish in the aerial game and in his restarts.

Aïssa Mandi (6,5): We would hardly have imagined seeing Mandi performing again as a right back in 2024 but the conclusion is simple: it works! He even allowed himself the luxury of bringing the surplus offensively.

Mohamed Amine Tougaï (5): His performance is tarnished by a costly error. Clearly responsible for the Togolese goal, he raised the bar behind, not without suffering against his opposite number.

Bensebaïni frames (6,5): A few devastating tackles of which he has the secret, authoritarian interventions here and there, such is the summary of the performance of the Borussia Dortmund defender, more than correct this evening.

Rayan Aït-Nouri (5): At times spectacular, Aït-Nouri nevertheless left too many spaces behind him, while missing certain offensive moves.

Adem Zorgane (4): Not his best match in the selection, clearly, and his exit at the break contrasted with the performance of the man who took his place. Replaced by
Hichem Boudaoui (46′, 6), more offensive, more present, and freeing up space for Riyad Mahrez.

Ramiz Zerrouki (4,5): Borrowed, it was like his recent performances with Feyenoord Rotterdam: feverish. He will have to do better on the outside, even if he is (rather unintentionally) a decisive passer this evening.

Houssem Aouar (8): We can say what we want, but the situation is clear: Aouar is always good in selection, and he is very often decisive. Scorer, brilliant in the game and often very well placed, he is DZfoot’s man of the match. Replaced by Ibrahim Maza (89′), who made the penultimate pass in the superb action which led to the fifth Algerian goal.

Riyad Mahrez (3,5): He is always slow, he only dribbles very little and if his vision nevertheless allows him to have a moment of genius necessary to break the deadlock in the match, like on his deep pass to Bounedjah who obtains a penalty, it is insufficient, especially compared to its competitors on the right. Replaced by Amine Gouiri
(74′), who scores, again, coming into play.

Said Benrahma (7,5): This is probably his best match in the selection. Although he lost many balls, he achieved the essential: a big shot from distance equalized, a goal from the penalty spot restored the advantage. It’s clear and it’s crisp! Replaced by Mohamed Farsi (83′) who delivers a decisive pass for Amoura.

Baghdad Bounedjah (4,5): What a shame! His performance, overall, is not that bad but because he misses the inevitable and then loses a face-to-face duel afterwards, his grade is inevitably degraded. Replaced by Mohamed Amoura (74′), as fast as ever (he was behind Gouiri’s goal) and also a scorer in his turn.
