Rafael Nadal, winner of 22 Grand Slam titles and tennis legend, has announced that he will end his career after the Davis Cup final with Spain, scheduled for November 19-24 in Malaga.
“I’m here to tell you that I’m leaving professional tennis“, the 38-year-old player said in a video posted on his X account, adding however that he was “enthusiastic” at the idea of concluding by playing this Davis Cup final, in his country.
Two years after Roger Federer, another legend of the game is bowing out. Nadal was one of the greatest players in history and his epic duels with the Basel player and with Novak Djokovic marked the last 20 years.
