The Canadian’s season will begin in less than 24 hours and we sense excitement in the two camps facing each other. We already know how much the Canadiens players are eager to play, but this time, it’s a Maple Leafs player who can’t wait to play in Montreal.

Goaltender Joseph Woll spoke to the media on Tuesday and explained that he was looking forward to playing against the Canadiens at the Bell Center on Wednesday.

In fact, he said that there is nothing better than facing the Canadian at the Bell Centre!

That’s quite a statement coming from the young Leafs goaltender, but he’s right. Matches between Montreal and Toronto always give rise to sparks.

We were able to see this during the preparatory calendar, when Arber Xhekaj attacked Cédric Paré after the latter injured Patrik Laine.

The 26-year-old goaltender has never faced the Canadiens at the Bell Centre, but he had success in this arena a few years ago.

The American won the Junior World Championship in Montreal in 2017. It is a great memory for him.

Woll is especially excited about starting a new season. We are still talking about a season where he should see more action than last year, when he only played 25 games. However, it remained a peak in his young career.

The young Leafs goaltender will share the net with Anthony Stolarz. Maybe you shouldn’t expect a 50-start season for Woll, but he’ll definitely get more than last season.

The bad news for Woll is that his head coach Craig Berube did not want to reveal his starting goalie on Tuesday. The good thing is that Toronto’s other goalie, Anthony Stolarz, is a native of New Jersey, where the Leafs will play the next day against the Devils.

We should have confirmation during the day on Wednesday.
