“They will get angry again but…”: two veterans of the purple house are not going easy on Anderlecht – All football

In Flanders, Johan Boskamp and Aad de Mos are renowned for their vitriolic analyses. Today, it is Anderlecht which is targeted, the Playoffs are not spared either.

“It’s incredibly exciting, but it’s a shit system”: that’s how Johan Boskamp sums up the Playoffs in Het Nieuwsblad. “You don’t want to give the title to theUnion ? If you think this point reduction is good, then you are not in your right mind. It’s as if Pogacar learned before the last two mountain stages that his lead is halved. It makes no sense,” explains the former Mauves coach.

His sidekick Aad de Mos is more nuanced: “I am not against the Playoffs, but simply organize them between the teams classified from 2nd to 6th place for the European tickets. Whoever wins the regular competition must always be champion” .

But the two men agree on one point: they no longer recognize Anderlecht. “When I watch Anderlecht, it doesn’t warm my heart. It’s not good enough,” said Boskamp. “But if I say that, they will get angry again. I make too many comparisons with the past, when we expected not only good results but also good football from Anderlecht. But what I see now is “It’s mostly a physical game.”

Brian Riemer still challenged

He continues: “At Anderlecht, the players especially have to go to war. When you have half of the Danish national team, three Red Devils and several great young talents, you can still hope to see better football “With a team like that, we can only be satisfied with the title.”

De Mos agrees: “Anderlecht have been very inconsistent for a whole season. Brian Riemer always promises that they will play forward with a lot of forward pressure, but…that’s absolutely not what I see.” The XXL transfer window of last summer is a double-edged sword for Riemer: the investment must now be profitable until the end.
