Fernando Tatis Jr continued to haunt the Los Angeles Dodgers with a two-run homer and the San Diego Padres posted a 6-5 victory in Game 3 of this Division Series.

The win gives the Padres a 2-1 lead in this best-of-three series. San Diego could eliminate the Dodgers on Wednesday at Petco Park.

However, things had started well for Los Angeles. In the first inning, Mookie Betts hit a home run to left field just out of the reach of Jurickson Profar. In the second game, Profar robbed Betts of a home run in the first inning of the inning.

The Dodgers’ lead didn’t last long. The Padres exploded with a six-run spurt in the very next inning. Tatis Jr capped it off with a resounding two-point slap. “Nando” celebrated as only he knows how with a spectacular race around the trails.

Tatis Jr is having a great run with four home runs and seven RBIs in five games.

Trailing by five runs, the Dodgers needed a minor miracle to get back into the game. Teoscar Hernandez responded. With the bases all loaded, Hernandes sent the ball over the fence to center field to produce four runs with one swing.

The Padres’ succession, however, held up. Jeremiah Estrada, Jason Adam, Tanner Scott and Robert Suarez allowed one hit in four innings of work.
