R2. ESL Brest – Quimper Kerfeunten: 1-0
This meeting, which pitted two undefeated teams against each other after two days, turned to the advantage of ESL Brest. It was therefore by the smallest of scores that the Stellists of Lambézellec won a fairly logical victory, given the numerous opportunities, despite some good reactions from the Southerners. The latter gave everything to try to equalize.
The first big opportunity was for the Brestois when Attoumane forced Le Borgne to impose himself with his foot (3′). The Quimper goalkeeper intervened, once again, with authority when on a cross from Calvez, Le Néa was very close to opening the score (11′). The locals dominated and were rewarded for their efforts. On a personal action, Rodrigues saw his cross shot find the right post before crossing the line (1-0, 36′). The visitors were dangerous, especially through Koré (25′, 38′), but Defever and his defense remained intractable. After the break, the Southerners were pushing to get back into the lead but Defever was vigilant and his intervention prevented Cariou from equalizing (66′).
