Max Verstappen took the lead in the Miami Grand Prix, the sixth round of the 2024 Formula 1 season, this Sunday, May 5. The Red Bull driver, solid leader in the drivers’ world championship standings, held off the Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Once again, Max Verstappen (Red Bull) quickly took shelter from Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari, during the Miami Grand Prix, sixth round of the 2024 F1 season, this Sunday, May 5. The Dutchman, three-time reigning world champion, took off, while the Monegasque had to defend his second position against his teammate, Carlos Sainz.

Perez misses, Piastri surprises

In this start of the American Grand Prix, another driver stood out: the Mexican Sergio Pérez. Max Verstappen’s teammate, who went on the attack as soon as the lights turned green, was not far from hitting the Red Bull adorned with the number 1.

A little further on, Oscar Piastri (McLaren) made a very good start, moving from 6e at 3e place. Just like former world champion Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), who climbed from 15e at 12e place.
