Cristiano Ronaldo still scandalizes in Saudi Arabia. A new gesture from the Portuguese international angered the Saudi media, as he scored a hat-trick with Al-Nassr against Al-Wehda.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick in this match, taking his tally to 32 goals. The former Real Madrid star is thus at the top of the ranking of top scorers of the season, nine goals ahead of Serbian Aleksandar Mitrovic. But that’s not what qi seems to have attracted attention.

Indeed, at the end of the first half, while Marcelo Brozovic was preparing; Al-Nasr midfielder Abdulaziz Nour tried to take a corner. The Al-Wahda player prevented Ronaldo from reaching the ball by pushing him backwards, prompting the Portuguese to claw at him. It was enough to provoke the anger of the Saudi media.

“Scratch the player’s neck with your thumbnail!” What mistake did the player commit to get his neck scratched?! » launched journalist Abdulaziz Al-Hadlaq after the meeting. Same story for journalist Ammar Hamad Al Ammar from Al-Jazirah who castigates CR7 after this match.

“This player continues to run and have fun without any sanction… dirty movements, aggression, verbal violence, beatings, shameful behavior, indiscipline… our disciplinary committee is in a deep sleep”he added.

This is not the first incident involving the striker to occur this year: in February, Ronaldo was suspended for one match for making an obscene gesture at the end of Al-Nassr’s victory against Al-Shabab.

Before that, he picked up an Al-Hilal scarf that had been thrown at him from the stands, put it in his shorts and then threw it away as he headed towards the tunnel after the 2-0 defeat ‘Al-Nassr in the final of the Riyadh Season Cup.

In April last year, he appeared to grab his genitals as he headed towards the dugout following the end of a 2-0 league defeat to Al-Hilal.

Ronaldo joined Saudi Arabia in January 2023 and has not won a trophy with his new team since.
