Yesterday afternoon, the youngsters from Olympique de Marseille got the better of Stade de Reims and qualified for the final of the Gambardella Cup (2-0). A success which was obviously praised by Mehdi Benatia in the columns of La Provence: “It’s huge because it proves the work that’s been done behind it. The final will take place on May 25 at the Stade Pierre Mauroy in Villeneuve d’Ascq against AS Nancy. As a reminder, OM have only won the competition once. It was in 1979 after a victory in the final against Lens (2-0).
