The long weekend in May will not be easy for the volunteers of the Villefranchois volleyball club, because it has been chosen, with the UFOLEP Departmental Committee of Aveyron, to organize the National Youth finals on May 10 and 11 2024 at the Tricot gymnasium.
290 people expected
This event will bring together 290 people from all over France, over 3 days with 18 cadet teams and 19 cadet teams including 2 Aveyron teams from the Villefranche club. This represents 160 matches over 2 days.
The teams will play in 4×4 with group stages then classification stages to end with the finals.
This requires enormous logistics both for the organization of the matches which will take place in all the halls of the gymnasium, i.e. 7 fields, but also to manage the accommodation and meals of all the players and chaperones.
This organization is beneficial at the sporting level for the municipality, but also for the territory because the teams coming from all over France will discover the department of Aveyron but will also consume in Villefranchois.
