Ruben Vargas scored his fourth goal of the season during Augsburg’s big defeat against Gregor Kobel’s Borussia Dortmund (5-1). Winner of Bayern Munich with Stuttgart (3-1), Leonidas Stergiou opened his account in the Bundesliga.
Vargas found the fault after a corner poorly rejected by the Dortmund defense, when the score was already 3-0 in favor of the semi-finalists of the Champions League. Served by Arne Maier, he deceived his Nati teammate Gregor Kobel with a point-blank shot. Kevin Mbabu played the entire match for Augsburg.
Established for the fourth time in a row after numerous appearances during the game this season, Leonidas Stergiou for his part enjoyed success against Bayern Munich (3-1).
Stuttgart comes back to 2 points behind Bayern
Well served in the Bavarian area after a good call, the defender on loan from Saint-Gall opened the scoring in the 29th minute with a small lob on Manuel Neuer. With this success, Stuttgart returns to two points from second place occupied by Bayern, two days before the end of the championship.
