For this 21e edition, the organization of the Solo Maître CoQ had decided to innovate on the course of the big race. The sailors had to complete a large loop of 391 miles, all the way to the Bay of Biscay. At the end of a great battle, which lasted 48 hours, Gaston Morvan (Bretagne Region – CMB Performance) won. The 26-year-old Brestois beat Basile Bourgnon (Edenred) and Arno Biston (Tizh Mor).
“I’m happy with the result and the way it went. I was an actor in the race. I placed my attacks quite intelligently, said the winner. A victory in Figaro, many are chasing it. I’m done (smile). »
Indeed, thanks to this success in the big race (and the coefficient reserved for him), Gaston Morvan wins the general classification.
