THE VillansLille’s scorers in the previous round, had nevertheless managed to equalize after half-time (2-2, 52′), but that was not enough against Ayoub El Kaabi’s hat-trick.
In the other semi-final, Fiorentina won at home against Club Bruges, thanks to M’Bala Nzola’s goal in stoppage time (3-2, 90’+1), while he had just come into play a few moments earlier. The Belgians will have a one-goal deficit to make up for in the return match to hope to qualify for the final.
