PSG failed to overcome Borussia Dortmund yesterday even though they were announced favorites. Luis Enrique’s men, however, had more than clear situations like the two posts hit by Achraf Hakimi and Kylian Mbappé. If they lacked success, the Spanish technician nevertheless took responsibility for his choices at a press conference after the meeting.

The Spanish technician decided to have his team play yesterday on the pitch. We notably saw Vitinha recover balls very high in the yellow and black camp but that was obviously not enough. Enrique reacted: “ Our goal was to press. Dortmund is a team that has two ways of playing, long and short. We tried to protect our right side, we allowed this two against one with Barcola, but trying to deprive them of long balls. In the first half, we lacked offensive intensity but it was completely different afterwards (…) We made no tactical changes after the break. We simply lacked intensity “.
Paris will play the return match at the Parc des Princes next Tuesday.
