– The notes of the Lausanne heroes reach the summits
By surpassing all expectations, the LHC players are logically rewarded with very high evaluations for this superlative season.

Coach – Geoff Ward: 6/6. In 18 months, the Canadian transformed the LHC. It certainly benefited from the addition of some leading reinforcements during the off-season, but the Vaud squad as a whole remained stable. The experienced coach was able to demonstrate to what extent he deserved his reputation as a builder: individual progress was striking, and never in their history had the Lions played so well collectively. The Ontarian process ended up taking the LHC to unprecedented levels.
LHC
The best season in the history of Lausanne HC ended in sadness and bitterness on Tuesday evening at the Swiss Life Arena in Zurich. The Vaudois club, logically beaten (2-0) during the “finalissima” of the Swiss championship, was not entitled to a “happy ending” which would have been deserved a thousand times over.
If this end proved so painful and sad for Geoff Ward and his men, it is because they were reasonably expected to lift the trophy as they put the ZSC Lions, huge favorites for the title, on the ropes. The “Z” wobbled, never collapsing.
Ultimately, the regrets of the Vaudois Lions must give way to pride. Because never at Lausanne HC, in its 102 years of existence, has such quality of play been offered. Such a journey had never been achieved.
So obviously, the heroes of an entire canton received good appreciation for this exercise which exceeded all expectations. The average score is close to the peaks, like the LHC during this historic 2023-2024 season.
