AS Saint-Etienne has just given up its hard-won place as runner-up to AJ Auxerre in favor of SCO Angers. While the clash against the Girondins de Bordeaux once again promises to be crucial in the race for the top 2 in Ligue 2, several returns are eagerly awaited within Olivier Dall’Oglio’s squad.
Without managing to win in Grenoble for this last meeting of the 32nd day of Ligue 2 (0-0), the Angevins moved back ahead of the Stéphanois in second place in the ranking. During the next day of the championship, SCO Angers will host Troyes, relegated, while AS Saint-Etienne will host the Girondins de Bordeaux. For this serious deadline which is looming, several reinforcements are inclined to return to the Saint-Etienne squad.
Maçon, Sissoko and Wadji available against Bordeaux?
As for Yvann Maçon, his return is indeed planned for next weekend after his suspended match against AC Ajaccio. A major asset for whom the lack was felt within the ASSE starting lineup last weekend in Corsica. Ibrahim Sissoko, having been unable to play the match against the Ajaccians after feeling discomfort in his calf, could also make his return against the Marine et Blanc.
