While the winter transfer window closes its doors in a few days, AC Milan, which has not put its hand in the wallet until now, would be more concerned by the next one. Indeed, according to the journalist's information Gianluca Di Marzio, the Rossoneri have reportedly set their sights on young FC Porto midfielder Alan Varela and would like to secure his services within a few months.
Arriving in Porto in 2023, from Boca Juniors, for eight million euros, the 23-year-old Argentinian played under the orders of Sérgio Conceição, the coach of the Milan club, for around forty matches. Indisputable holder, Alan Varela continued to be during the mandate of Victor Brunobut started to lose his place from December (only two starts in the last 10 matches).
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Sérgio Conceição really appreciates his former player, but also specifies that it will not be easy to dislodge him from FC Porto. Under contract until June 2028, Alan Varela has a release clause estimated at 70 million euros. AC Milan cannot therefore afford it, unless its price is revised downwards.
