The winter transfer window could allow FC Nantes to strengthen offensively with the arrival of Steve MouniéBeninese attacker of 30 ans currently evolving at Augsburg. Having left for Germany last summer, Steve Mounié (Augsburg, 30 years old) obviously made a choice that he regrets. After contributing to the qualification of Brest for the Champions League last season, the striker now seems to be in difficulty across the Rhine.
Limited playing time in Augsburg
Since his free arrival at Augsburg last summer, Steve Mounié struggling to impose itself with only 236 minutes disputed for no goal registered. Relegated to third row of attackers behind Phillip Tietz et Samuel Essendethe Beninese could see his situation become more complicated with the possible return of Mergim Berishathe former darling of Augsburg who left in 2023 for Hoffenheim for €14 million according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany.
A strong reinforcement for the Canaries
Under contract until June 2027 and valued at 3 million euros, Steve Mounié would represent a significant offensive reinforcement for the FC Nantes if interest in the big forward follows through. Also cited on the side of SCO Angersthe attacker of 30 ans could be tempted by a return to Ligue 1 where it has already evolved in the past. Nantes would thus have the opportunity to secure the services of an experienced scorer for the second part of the season.
A lively transfer window for the Canaries
Beyond the file Mouniéthe FC Nantes seems particularly active in this winter transfer window looking for reinforcements in several sectors of play. The next few days therefore promise to be decisive for the future of the team and its ambitions for the end of the season. Nantes will, however, have to use persuasion to convince Steve Mounié to join the Ligue 1.
