“Luiz Felipe will be in Marseille on Monday, signing a contract valid until June 2026 as a new OM player. Exclusive information, confirmed”, posted the Italian journalist on his Twitter account this Saturday. Without rumors before, the Italian should arrive to support Amir Murillo in the three-way defense set up by Roberto De Zerbi.

“Olympique de Marseille has reached an agreement to sign Luiz Felipe in free transfer, it's done! The Italian defender leaves the Saudi club as a free agent and joins OM with immediate effect. Luiz will go to Marseille on Monday,” the journalist announces on his Twitter account.

Free since the termination of his contract with the Saudi club Al Ittihad, the 27-year-old central defender will sign an 18-month contract. The Italian international, right-handed, passed through Lazio Rome before signing in Saudi Arabia for a check for 22 million euros in September 2023. The former Betis defender will therefore arrive in Marseille on Monday.
