The year 2025
I already wish everyone a happy new year. What can you wish for me? Lots of good things, good health already and let ASSE get back on this little slope. It was a fairly express truce, but one that allowed us to reunite with our families. It was short, but it's always good to see your loved ones again.
The arrival of Eirik Horneland
With the arrival of the coach, it's a new way of working: different schedules, another language but we adapt very well. Language is not a problem, most of the locker room speaks English. Everything is going very well. Eirik Horneland is a very dynamic person on the pitch who wants to move the whole group forward. He wants a lot of activity in particular and lots of running.
The priority of the week
We had 4/5 days to work, so we focused on the essentials to properly prepare for this match against Reims. We will go into details in the coming weeks. The coach directs us towards very specific things that he wants to instill in us, he gives us ideas for work, play, pressing. It's up to us to transcribe this on the ground, with great desire and pride.
The role of the players
I will adapt my role according to the wishes of the coach. We've already talked about it together. I know we have ambitions, if we have to play higher to accompany the block, I will play higher. (…) It is now up to us to turn the scales in our direction, to erase certain things to gain points. It takes defensive and offensive discipline. It is this discipline that the coach has instilled in us since his arrival.
