While the transfer window has just started, Kilmer Sports Ventures, owner of ASSE, could soon receive an unexpected financial bonus.

In the event of the departure of William Saliba, currently at Arsenal, the Greens could cash a significant check thanks to a clause negotiated during his transfer in 2019. This percentage clause on resale could pay off big if Real Madrid or another giant European player came to secure the services of the French defender.

On July 25, 2019, then aged 18, William Saliba left ASSE to join his favorite club, Arsenal. The transfer, accompanied by a one-season loan from the Greens, amounted to a record amount for the Saint-Etienne club. The operation brought in around 30 to 33 million euros, according to different sources, including significant bonuses. Huss Fahmy, an expert in financial arrangements and then stationed at Arsenal, played a key role in this transaction by integrating advantageous clauses, including a percentage on resale.

A movement from Réal during the transfer window?

Since his departure, William Saliba has continued to shine. Pillar of Arsenal and now part of the team, the central defender has established himself as one of the best in his position. Now 23, he is valued at €80 million by Transfermarkt, but a move would likely require an even higher sum.

Real Madrid, always in search of promising young talents, is closely interested in him according to the Sport media. The Merengue club have reportedly started discussions with the former ASSE defender. If the Madrid players take action, William Saliba could find a man he worked with in : Kylian Mbappé, his teammate in the French team

A gift from Huss Fahmy

If such an operation were to materialize, ASSE would benefit from a percentage of the capital gain made by Arsenal. A providential financial windfall, at a time when the club is seeking to strengthen its competitiveness. Huss Fahmy, now in the Saint-Etienne organization chart, could indirectly offer a gift to his new club, illustrating the importance of well-negotiated clauses.
