Holder of a Master's degree in international law, I realized at the end of my university career that it was important to evolve in a field that you appreciate. Overnight, I decided to put an end to my parents' dream, who saw in me a future lawyer, to make a living from my passion: sport. Since then, I have covered transfer windows and sports news, trying to keep readers informed as best as possible.

PSG is on the cusp of a historic change. Owner of the premises since 1973, the Parisian club plans to leave the Parc des Princes. Eager to become the owner of his stadium, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi made this move. For Michel Denisot, former president of the team, this departure is necessary to allow PSG to develop.

“Let’s dream bigger.” This phrase appears in the four corners of the Parc des Princes, which is quite paradoxical in fact. Because to continue to develop, PSG must become the owner of its own stadium. Very early on, negotiations began with the Town Hall, and in particular with Anne Hidalgo. But the discussions are now at a standstill and relations between the two parties are frosty. Faced with this observationNasser Al-Khelaïfi made the decision not to wait for the next municipal election, at which Hidalgo will not take part, and to record the departure of PSG.

“We have no other solutions”

« I really like the Parc des Princes, everyone loves it. If I listen to my heart, we're not leaving. But today, everyone in Europe has stadiums with 100,000, 80,000, 90,000 seats… We need them, otherwise we are dead. Is it a question of life or death? Yes. We are in , but we also play in Europe. We compete in the Champions League every year. If we want to be at the same level as other clubs, and on financial fair play… We need our stadium. We have no other solutions » confided Al-Khelaïfi at the microphone of RMC.

Denisot understands this departure

The PSG is looking for land in the Paris region that could accommodate the club's next garden. Asked about the future of Parc des Princes, Michel Denisot indicates that this move is necessary for the development of the institution. “I cannot answer for Nasser. Apparently he is adamant. Well, it happened in other clubs. Today PSG is a company, in my time, it was a club. They need to develop, we weren’t in that position” confided the former president of PSG during an interview given to Brut.
