After failing last summer, PSG could finally achieve their goals for SSC Naples star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia at the end of the current season. Explanations.
PSG ready to offer a golden bridge to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
Disagreeing with his management for an extension, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia could leave the ranks of SSC Naples next summer. Interested in reinforcing the Georgian international, Paris Saint-Germain would be ready to offer him a salary of 13 million euros, or ten times what he receives in Naples. If negotiations with the Italian club had failed over the amount of the transfer, the situation could change quickly.
Indeed, Kvaratskhelia, whose contract ends in 2027, does not seem to be in a hurry to extend with Napoli. Seduced by the Parisian project and by Luis Enrique's style of play, the 23-year-old winger could bring an undeniable plus to the Parisian squad.
His compatriot Zuriko Davitashvili, player of AS Saint-Étienne, was full of praise for Kvaratskhelia's talent, saying that Ligue 1 would be the ideal championship for him. The lines are already moving in this matter and Aurélio De Laurentiis already seems to be preparing the succession of the native of Tiflis.
Napoli have already identified Kvaratskhelia's successor
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the Georgian nugget of SSC Napoli, remains in the sights of Paris Saint-Germain. The issue, already heated last summer, seems to take on a new dimension. Indeed, the player's contract extension with Naples stumbles on several points, and his agent has reportedly renewed contact with PSG.
For his part, Luis Campos, Parisian sports director, has never hidden his interest in the Georgian winger, whose technical qualities and his ability to make the difference individually appeal to Parisian leaders. According to La Repubblica, Kvaratskhelia himself would be inclined to join the capital club.
His transfer therefore seems more and more likely, to the point that the Neapolitan leaders have already identified a potential replacement in the person of Federico Chiesa. Recruited by Liverpool last August, the Italian international is struggling to establish himself at Anfield and a transfer could take place as early as this winter.
For the Neapolitan president, Aurelio de Laurentiis, it is a question of anticipating a possible departure of Kvaratskhelia without repeating the error of the Victor Osimhen file. If the Georgian winger's demands are not lowered, Naples could be tempted to let him leave next summer.
Federico Chiesa could therefore arrive in Naples in January to allow Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to join PSG at the end of the 2024-2025 financial year. The Kvaratskhelia soap opera still promises many twists and turns in the weeks to come.
