A week after their new defeat away on the pitch at Drancy, the Parisian U17s defeated Le Mans with difficulty at the end of a match rich in goals (5-4). In the standings, Pierre Mounguengue's teammates therefore retain their third place in the Pool A standings.
A week after the defeat against Drancy, Yannick Dumas benefited from the reinforcement of several players playing since the start of the season in the U19 national championship for the reception at Le Mans. At kick-off, only two players born in 2009 appear in the starting lineup: goalkeeper Adam Mouak and defensive midfielder Paul Bourdin.
After a start to the match during which they struggled to establish rhythm, the Capital players finally opened the scoring with a gag goal: Pierre Mounguengue performs good pressing following a risky pass from a Le Mans defender to his goalkeeper. Maidy Salin tries to clear in a hurry but the attacker blocks the ball which ends up in the back of the net (1-0, 21st). Unfortunately, a few minutes later, the Parisian captain missed his clearance from a free kick and allowed the visitors to equalize (1-1, 28th).
After a strike on the post from Pierre Mounguengue (29th), Yannick Dumas' protégés again found the fault on a corner: Adam Ayari placed the ball on the head of Emmanuel Mbemba who imposes himself in the air and places an unstoppable header (2-1, 33 days). Just before the break, like the defensive apathy of his team, the Parisian central defender is unfortunately guilty of lax marking on Lorenzo Guillier who deceives Adam Mouak with his head (2-2, 41st).
An even crazier second half and a gem from Ayari to finish
Returning from the locker room, Adam Ayari makes a nice move on the right side but the French international sees his curled shot from the left fail on the crossbar (47th). In the process, the referee whistles an imaginary penalty after a perfectly legal intervention by Samba Coulibaly in the area and Swann Chaigneau gives his team the advantage for the first time in the match (2-3, 50th). At game time, Emmanuel Mbemba scored a double by victoriously heading at the far post a corner taken by Paul Bourdin (3-3, 62ème).
A few moments later, the visitors once again took advantage of Parisian defensive errors and, on his first ball, the new arrival Kevin Froissard gets rid of Toumani Diagouraga in the area and wins his duel with Adam Mouak (3-4, 64th). Samba Coulibaly sounds the revolt and makes a superb breakthrough full axis: after dribbling two players, the central defender finds in the area Younes Idder who controls then triggers a victorious strike from the left (4-4, 70th).
The individual talent of Parisians ultimately makes the difference and Adam Ayariafter a festival in the area, gives his team the advantage with a curling shot from the right into the opposite net (5-4, 74 days). The end of the match is complicated and the Le Mans bench demands a new penalty in stoppage time following a difficult exit from Adam Mouak but the referee does not flinch.
Despite the victory, Yannick Dumas' players delivered a worrying performance for a team made up largely of experienced players at this level. Unable to control the scenario of the meeting and fragile defensively, the Parisians will undoubtedly have to do much more to bring back a good result from their trip next Sunday to the lawn of leader Caen. In the standings, Aymen Assab's teammates nevertheless retain their third place in the Pool A standings.
