Arriving at OM a few months ago, Jeffrey de Lange is biding his time, which could come quickly.
Last summer, OM shook up their group of goalkeepers by recruiting Geronimo Rulli as number 1 and Jeffrey de Lange as backup. If Roberto De Zerbi had indicated that there was not a clearly established hierarchy, it seemed obvious that the Dutchman was not going to benefit from much playing time in Ligue 1. Despite everything, the 26-year-old goalkeeper is waiting for his hour and gives everything during training sessions.
de Lange holder in the Coupe de France?
The player's father, John de Lange, also spoke about his son's situation to Provence. “He must show his qualities. He has not yet had the opportunity to show them off to Marseille but he does it every day in training. He works very hard. At Ajax as with De Zerbi, the whole game starts from the goalkeeper. You have to be patient, not throw the balls, build the game, what your coach wants and what Jeffrey does very well,” declared the man who occupies the position of… goalkeeping coach at AFC Amsterdam (Dutch D3 ).
Jeffrey de Lange is biding his time, which could well come in the coming weeks, on the occasion of OM's entry into contention for the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France…
