During the last summer transfer window, Kevin Danso seemed very close to joining AS Roma. But this promising transfer ultimately did not see the light of day, and the Austrian international remained at RC Lens. Asked about his outlook, Danso took the time to clarify his position.

However, an unforeseen medical incident changed the situation: a heart problem detected during the medical examination prevented Distinguish to sign with the Louve club. Result ? The solid central defender remained at Lensto the great relief of the supporters. It remains to be seen for how long: under contract until 2027, Distinguish could well become a target of choice again from the next winter transfer window.
“Who is non-transferable?”
In an interview given to The Team, Kevin Danso set the record straight about its future. “ Leave the club in January? I don't know. There, I'm focused on the season, on being good. January is a possibility. As with any player. Who is non-transferable? There is nothing premeditated. I want to play at the highest level, to prove to myself that I can do it. The sporting aspect will be a priority », admitted the Austrian defender. His aborted transfer nevertheless left a mark.

« It hurt me. Going to Rome, not signing there, that can happen to lots of players. I always say that I am not unhappy. I have my family here, a good club”, added Kevin Danso. The latter will have to redouble his efforts to regain his place in the eleven of Will Still after the hatching of Kodir Khusanov.
