Olympique de Marseille will be able to rely on its training in the coming years. The Marseille club notably won the Gambardella Cup last season and nuggets like Enzo Sternal have already got involved with the first team.
But overall, they play with the OM reserve, in National 3, because Roberto De Zerbi's squad is quite strong and Marseille only plays one match per week. We are talking here about Enzo Sternal, Darryl Bakola, Yanis Sellami, Alexi Koum, Keyliane Abdallah and Gaël Lafont.
The kids want to go on loan this winter
According to information from La Provence, these six kids, who generally train with professionals, would welcome going on loan this winter. They would like to have more playing time to progress. But to go where? For many months, rumors around an OM satellite club have been circulating but nothing happens.
However, its neighbors Martigues, which plays in Ligue 2, and Aubagne, which plays in National, are totally up for it. Problems could nevertheless arise in terms of loaning players, on a financial and sporting level, where Marseille would like guarantees of playing time for its loaned players. Martigues and Aubagne would in any case like to advance alongside OM.
Aubagne and Martigues want mutual help with OM
“We must serve as a springboard for the young people of OM. And vice versa, if our players have the level of Ligue 1, it would be better for them to sign for OM rather than Montpellier or Nantes “It’s the best solution for the whole region to be stronger together.”underlined Djamal Mohamed, the sports director of Martigues in La Provence.
Discussions around this project could resume this winter while OM's neighbors are already eyeing some young players from the Marseille club. Martigues is interested in a young Olympian, assures La Provence without revealing the name, while Aubagne recruiters are “fell in love” by Robinio Vaz and Roggerio Nyakossi.
Aubagne dreams of two nuggets from OM
These two young players are executives of the OM reserve team. The first one, who arrived this summer from Sochaux, is a 17-year-old striker, who is already presented as a phenomenon. The second, who arrived at OM in 2022, is a 20-year-old Swiss central defender.
Note that, according to information from La Minute OM sur X, Robinio Vaz should be loaned to a National club in January. The striker has been sparkling since the start of the season with already 7 goals in 5 National 3 matches. This loan will allow him to continue his progress at a higher level. The young Marseillais could thus possibly strengthen Aubagne, which, let us remember, plays in National.
Passionate about sport and from Toulouse, I am of course a supporter of the great TFC, which has more titles than OM and OL combined over the last ten years.
