Having grown up in the Paris region, Lucas Digne (31) had the opportunity to wear the PSG tunic when he was 20. However, it was only in 2016 that the left defender of the France team was able to live his dream. At 23, Digne joined FC Barcelona, his favorite club since a young age, as he revealed to Foot Mercato in an interview.
Lucas Digne has traveled well throughout his career which began 13 years ago at LOSC. After only two seasons spent with his training club, the left side of the team from France subsequently became a player of the PSG. Club he worked with for two seasons between 2013 and 2015 before having a freelance experience at Roma and go live his dream in Catalonia.

During an interview given to Foot Market, Lucas Worthy looked back on his enriching career through his experiences in France, Italy, Spain and now in England since 2018 at Everton and to Aston Villa starting in winter 2022. “I have incredible memories of each club. Lille is my home club, where I had the chance to develop and start my career. Paris is where I started winning trophies and playing with the national team. Rome was my first experience outside of France and it was just an incredible feeling with the fans and a fantastic experience.”

The native of Meaux has nevertheless always admired the FC Barcelona. This is the reason why he decided to leave everything at PSG in order to sign for the club culé in the summer of 2016. “Barcelona… well, since I was a child it was my dream to play for this club, and I made it come true. I won trophies there, I played with the best player in the world for two wonderful years. I enjoyed every day, but I also wanted to play every game and have more responsibility in my team, so I told Barça that I wanted to move forward, even if it was difficult.”
