What a match from AJ Auxerre! The Auxerrois easily won against Stade Rennais (4-0). Gaetan Perrin scored twice in just 40 minutes before Lassine Sinayoko drove home the point even further with a penalty. At the end of the match, Ado Onaiwu came to complete the AJA offensive festival. A very good operation for the protégés of Christophe Pélissier who climbs to 10th place in the ranking. On the other hand, doubts continue to build in the minds of Stade Rennais who have only won one match in their last six meetings. Julien Stéphan's men slip to 13th place.
Montpellier still can't do it!
In a very important shock at the bottom of the table, Le Havre took the upper hand, at home, against Montpellier, dead last in Ligue 1. Abdoulaye Touré scored the only goal of the match on a penalty (73rd). The meeting with the ultra pailladins this week will not have borne fruit for Montpellier residents who are sinking further into the crisis. The MHSC has not won since September 22 against AJ Auxerre. As a result in the ranking, the Hacmen, 17th, are now five points ahead of Montpellier, bottom of the table. Jean-Louis Gasset will have to quickly find solutions before it is too late.
