[N3] RC relapses at Vimy after a crazy match

There was a crowd this afternoon at the Stade de la Mine de Vimy. The Vimynois stormed the stand and the handrail to watch the match between the Lensoise reserve and the USV as part of the 5th day of National 3. But after opening the score, Racing lost 3-2.

A rhythmic match from the kick-off, with Lensois determined to build forward very quickly. Vimy highlights his physical qualities to try to lead the debates. The Blues are not far from opening the score early in the match. In the 12th minute, the referee penalized a slight push by Souleymane Sagnan behind the back of a Vimy player, penalty. And for his return, goalkeeper Roman Karolewicz pulls out all the stops and captures the ball from Roure.

Capuano leads the way

Dominant, Racing obtains the best situations and manages to achieve success with a set piece. Nassim Aït Mouhou works his free kick perfectly towards the far post, Gabien Capuano comes out of the marking and cuts with a header: 1-0 for the Sang et Or (23rd).

A short-lived advantage since the former Gaillette, Adam Oudjani, will take advantage of a bad back pass to rush to goal, eliminate Oscar Lenne with a hook and beat Karolewicz (1-1, 25th). Behind, insists. Diliwidi fails to complete a well-made counterattack (28th) and Capuano’s madjer just ends up in the gloves of the Vimy goalkeeper.

A missed penalty and the punishment

And it was only the beginning of a match which will get more heated as the minutes pass. Lens is caught cold by a lob from Roure that Karolewicz cannot approach (2-1, 53rd). But by insisting, Kembo Diliwidi was rewarded with a headed goal after the hour mark (2-2, 69th). Lensois really not far from snatching victory. In the process, Hervé Boua Dié is grabbed in the area, another penalty, this time for Lens. But Nassim Aït Mouhou lifts his ball a little too much, which dies on the crossbar (2-2, 70th).

Too bad for these Lensois who will be able to regret, because the punishment falls. If Lens fails to force the decision, Vimy will take care of it. Having just entered the game, Charrière took advantage of a mix-up to send a missile into Karolewicz’s goals (3-2, 81st).

Lens fell after their first victory of the season, and after having touched the three points with their fingertips this afternoon. After the victory of at the same time, Lens is last in its group.
