Engaged for the very first time in its history in the Champions League, Stade Brestois, already winner of Sturm Graz two weeks ago (2-1), scored a second success in two matches by pulverizing Salzburg, this Tuesday evening in Austria (4-0). Enough to win a small jackpot.

A colossal sum at club level
Thanks to their two victories in the most prestigious club competition, the Bretons have already received 4.2 million euros, with UEFA awarding 2.1 million euros to each success in C1.
On the scale of Stade Brestois, this sum is colossal. The 4.2 million euros represent almost 10% of the annual operating budget (estimated at 48 million euros) and six months of payroll (estimated at 700,000 euros per month). And all in just two games.
Provisional leaders of the ranking
Eric Roy’s men, provisionally leaders in the Champions League standings, still have six games (three at home, three away) to increase this jackpot. Next meeting on Wednesday October 23 at the Francis-Le Blé stadium against Bayer Leverkusen (6:45 p.m.).
