Anelka reveals the reasons for Kolo Muani’s failure at PSG

Randal Kolo Muani, Saint-Germain striker, is going through a difficult period at the start of the season, with only 2 goals in 7 appearances. But Nicolas Anelka believes in it despite the criticism.

With the absence of Ousmane Dembélé, sidelined for disciplinary reasons, Kolo Muani could still make the bench during the crucial match against Arsenal in the Champions League this Tuesday. Despite being criticized and not enjoying the full trust of coach Luis Enrique, Kolo Muani has received support from former PSG striker Nicolas Anelka.

“Paris does not have an Erling Haaland. Randal Kolo Muani, for example, has a profile where he can also play on the wings. I also find that we are being quite harsh and quite unfair with him. He is a player full of qualities, he produces good matches,” said Anelka in the columns of the daily Le Parisien.

“I can’t figure out his preferred position. As we rarely hear him, I don’t know in what role he wants to evolve. In Germany he was very good. But he plays at a club where there have been so many great strikers that the expectation around him is obviously very tough.”
