(Boursier.com) — “I will be there to support him” Elon Musk will attend Donald Trump’s political rally this week in Butler, Pennsylvania, the town where he survived an assassination attempt in July. The billionaire announced this on the social network X, in response to a message from the presidential candidate indicating that he was returning to Butler on Saturday.

Elon Musk, Tesla’s chief executive and owner of X, called the Republican presidential candidate “tough” and officially endorsed him after he survived an assassination attempt in Butler on July 13.

Elon Musk, who initially affirmed that he would not support any of the candidates in the November presidential election, suddenly declared his love for Donald Trump in the wake of the assassination attempt which targeted the candidate last month of July. “I completely support Donald Trump and I hope he recovers quickly,” the billionaire wrote on July 14 to his 189 million subscribers on X.

Strong ally

Since then, he has been very active on X, criticizing the Harris camp and multiplying messages of support for his candidate. “If nothing is done about the bureaucratic suffocation of America, humanity will never reach the stars. This is the most important reason why Trump must win, because the alternative is continued expansion of a big, oppressive government, making progress impossible,” he wrote in a message in recent days.

The October 5 rally will be held at the same location where Donald Trump was shot in the right ear and where a protester was killed when a gunman opened fire.

The shooter, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, was shot and killed by a Secret Service sniper. In September, the former president was targeted by another assassination attempt when a shooter hid for nearly 12 hours on a golf course at one of his clubs in Florida.
