Wojciech Kowalczyk played for Real Betis in 1994-1997. In total, he scored 16 goals in 63 games for this team. It’s no wonder that the former Polish representative is well known by Seville fans.

And also… the players themselves. The 52-year-old’s fans include Hector Bellerin. Two years ago, after winning the King’s Cup, the defender wore the T-shirt of the popular “Kowal” during the celebration. The photos circulated on Polish and Spanish social media.

Some time later, the two met in person in the capital of Andalusia. The Spaniard immediately met Wojciech Kowalczyk and the gentlemen fell into each other’s arms (more HERE).

Another one-on-one conversation took place before Thursday’s match between Legia Warszawa and Real Betis in the first round of the Conference League at ul. Łazienkowska. The Primera Division club published a photo of them together on social media.

There was also a popular prop. “A T-shirt with a lot of history. It’s so good to see you again, Kowalczyk!” – we read in the description on Instagram.

Live text coverage of the Legia Warszawa – Real Betis match will be available on the WP SportoweFakty website. The first whistle blew at 6:45 p.m.
