L’indiscipline, sir

It was very difficult to evolve and develop good attacks for both teams in the first half. There were, however, offensive attempts, but they were almost all stopped by a penalty conceded. The best intentions were Nice in the hand game, and they were clearly the most dominant, but without realizing it on the scoreboard. As proof of all this, the biggest testing opportunity was for the Azuréens just before the break. After a titanic 50-22 from Auradou, they obtained a penalty 5m from the goal, but made a mistake by forming their maul (38th).

For the points, Abzhandadze missed a first penalty from 40 meters (4th), while Auradou scored his from the halfway line (0-3, 7th). The second best scorer in Pro D2 adjusted the sights (3-3, 12th), while the Niçois lost his settings (21st). Four penalties, none within forty meters, a summary of the difficulties in approaching the goal and getting slag. Staniforth took the first yellow card of the match, for a racket with his elbow forward (15th), an orange-yellow, but without consequence on the scoreboard.

Aurillac weighed down by its boxes

The Auvergnats returned from the locker room with better intentions, and finally continuity in their game. They were rewarded with three points from their opener (6-3, 49th), before being overtaken by their aggressiveness. Following a great breakthrough from Auradou, Delarue came back to defend in disaster, and cleared Dufau by hitting him in the head (51st). Simple yellow card, and he could count himself lucky. This allowed Nice to equalize (6-6), then score the first try of the match by Daly, served in the lineout, who feigned two defenders before going to flatten (6-13, 56th). Seunes limited the damage with a drop in a confused action (9-13, 58th).

Back at 15, the Aurillacois could regain their intensity. This time it was not three points at the end, but a try from Nioradze (16-13, 66th), after a long sequence of play with one pass. Once again, their progress was stopped by a stupid card from Oudard, who hit a Niçois who was obstructing him (67th). The touch led to a series of Nice pick and goes, and Vignolles’ try (16-18, 69th). After the dismissal, Solinas was kicking, and Abzhandadze did not want to answer him. He lost the ball, exploited directly by Riguet, whose foot pass found Erasmus (16-25, 71st). Two tries in two minutes, and the mass was said. Aurillac remained outside the defensive bonus points, and conceded a second defeat at home this season.
