The 55th edition of Tour of Eure-et-Loir once again offers a route suitable for sprinters. With three stages without great difficulty, the fastest men should give it their all to achieve maximum success over the three days of competition. Revealer of young talents with the success of Paul Penhoet in 2021 and Noah Isidore in 2023, this 2024 edition will be a new match between young development teams and more experienced teams. A beautiful spectacle in perspective.
The Tour d’Eure-et-Loir 2024 map
Stage 1: (Le Coudray – Mignières): 146.9 km / 700 m D+
The first stage of the Tour d’Eure-et-Loir, starting from Coudray, is the least difficult. With 700 meters of positive altitude difference and without real difficulty, it should offer sprinters the opportunity to express themselves in Mignières at the end of the 146.9 km.
Stage 2: (Les Villages Vovéens – Vald’Yerre): 196.3 km / 1397 m D+
The queen stage of this Tour d’Eure-et-Loir. With 196.3 km starting from the Villages Vovéens, the peloton will have to face 1397 meters of positive altitude difference to reach Vald’Yerre. Nothing insurmountable for the best sprinters, but the punchers could take advantage of the series of bumps in the Perche to try to make the difference before the finale.
Stage 3: (Vernouillet – Chartres): 188.9 km / 1090 m D+
The third stage of the Tour d’Eure-et-Loir will end in the Eurelian capital, Chartres. Departing from Vernouillet, runners will have to cover 188.9 km and more than 1000 meters of elevation gain. One last opportunity to make a difference before a false-flat finale rising through the streets of Chartres which could hold some surprises.
