In Burkina Faso, the eldest son of General Djibrill Bassolé and Omar Zalla, former aide-de-camp to the former head of Burkinabe diplomacy under Blaise Compaoré, were arrested on 11 and 13 September respectively, according to their relatives. They were taken by unidentified individuals to an unknown destination.

On the night of Friday to Saturday, armed men burst into the home of the children of General Djibrill Bassolé, former Burkinabe Minister of Foreign Affairs, reports our journalist. Paulina Zidi.

The testimonies speak of searches: the children’s computers, telephones, travel documents were confiscated and Aziz, the eldest son of the former head of Burkinabe diplomacy, was taken to an unknown destination. Another of his brothers, who was also wanted by the same armed men, according to the family, has not yet given any sign of life.

A few days before this kidnapping, it was Warrant Officer Omar Zalla, former head of security for General Djibrill Bassolé and also a member of the special intervention unit of the gendarmerie who was ” taken ” according to his relatives, at the municipal cemetery of Gounghin while he was attending a funeral.
