According to “20 minutes”, a major police operation took place in Malley on Tuesday morning, in the west of Lausanne. One person was injured by a gunshot.

A major police operation took place in the Malley district this Tuesday morning, informs the daily 20 minutes. The Lausanne police also confirm this intervention as well as a large deployment of personnel.

According to media information, shots were heard by residents of Chemin de la Prairie, in western Lausanne. One person was injured by a gunshot.

The authorities clarified that the situation was under control, without giving further details. “There is no danger for the population,” Alexia Hagenlocher, communications manager for the Lausanne police, told the daily.

20 minutes obtained testimonies: “I heard commotion and I went out onto my balcony. I saw people running. We heard shots. Some thought it was firecrackers, but it seemed like someone had fired,” says a reader.. “I went down and heard a police officer say there was someone injured. Ambulances have been deployed,” he adds.
