The popular national championship (CNP), also known as “navétanes”, was suspended in the Keur Massar department following the death of a young man.
“We were given the opportunity to observe scenes of violence that occurred as a prelude to the semi-finals of Zone 1 of the ODCAV in Keur Massar. Faced with the seriousness of these events, the ODCAV of Keur Massar took the decision to suspend all Navetan activities in the Keur Massar department. This approach aims to guarantee the safety of participants and prevent any further abuse. ODCAV remains determined to ensure a secure and respectful framework for all stakeholders involved”we read in the ODCAV press release, reports Wiwsport.
It is important to remember that young Moustapha Niang died during the semi-finals of zone 1 in Yeumbeul. An investigation is underway to clarify this tragedy which occurred.
