The second edition of the Marrakech-Safi Regional Social and Solidarity Economy Fair will be held from January 27 to February 2 in the ocher city, under the theme “For a fair and inclusive social and solidarity economy”.
Organized by the Council of the Marrakech-Safi region, in partnership with the State Secretariat responsible for Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy, this event is intended to be a platform for the marketing of agricultural and craft products, and highlighting the role of this sector in sustainable development, while providing a suitable space for exchange between the different actors and stakeholders in this field.
This show also aims to promote products from the social and solidarity economy sector, create a new dynamic of promotion and marketing, and to allow visitors to discover the products of cooperatives and professional organizations in the fields of crafts. and agriculture, indicates a press release from the organizers, reports MAP.
This edition, which is part of the implementation of the main orientations of the Marrakech-Safi Regional Council in terms of territorial marketing and the promotion of this sector as an important lever of economic development, will bring together around 170 exhibitors representing cooperatives active in the fields of crafts, agriculture and services, as well as artisans from different regions of the Kingdom and African partner countries, in addition to experts and specialists in social and solidarity economy, who will lead workshops training, precise the same source.
These workshops, intended for exhibitors and professionals in the sector, mainly focus on the management of companies operating in this field, the principles and values governing the social and solidarity economy, as well as digital marketing mechanisms, financial accounting and legal framework governing the sector.
On the menu for this edition are also shows which will be presented by folklore troupes representing the different provinces of the region, as well as a ceremony to celebrate the most innovative cooperatives, the press release concludes.
