Abundant snow brought joy to skiers and resorts in the Vallée de Joux between Christmas and New Year.
Many people took advantage of the snowflakes to cross the Mollendruz pass during the holidays. “It’s been a while since we’ve skied this much,” rejoices Cédric Paillard, director of Vallée de Joux Tourisme and president of the ski lifts. Although the Valley ski lifts have since closed due to rain, the outcome of the fortnight is more than satisfactory. “Between Christmas and January 2, we registered 8,867 skiers. It reminds us that winter can still exist on the Jura massif.”
