“Given the seriousness of the situation, the Delegation calls on the families of detainees as well as their loved ones authorized to visit them to respect preventive measures in order to limit the risks of spreading this viral disease to residents of penitentiary establishments by avoiding visits as soon as the first symptoms appear,” she said in a press release. Note that measures have been taken in these establishments to avoid the risk of spreading the disease.
Suspected cases were quarantined in order to carry out the necessary laboratory analyses, while providing them with appropriate care following the protocol in force, in coordination with the competent health services, underlines the DGAPR, noting that a vaccination operation volunteer against measles is open to prisoners and staff of penitentiary establishments, under the supervision of medical staff reporting to said services.
