This afternoon, emergency services responded around 12:13 p.m. in front of 3291 chemin Sainte-Foy for an accident between a pedestrian and a motorist.
“The pedestrian, an octogenarian aged 80, was transported to a hospital center where there is currently fear for his life,” indicated the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ).
Updated at 7:42 p.m. – The Quebec City Police Department has updated information related to the accident. The SPVQ confirms that the pedestrian unfortunately died. The accidental thesis is the preferred one.
The pedestrian was apparently struck by an SUV not far from the intersection, facing shopping centers.
A perimeter was erected around the intersection in order to protect the scene.
Investigators and technicians from the Forensic Identification Unit are currently on their way to reconstruct the facts and collect various investigative elements.
