The manufacturer LG intends to cool down the competition with its new PF600U multifunction video projector (and no, it's not a fan).
Like every year at the CES show in Las Vegas, the big tech brands arrive with new projects that go off the beaten trackand which are mainly there to catch the eye of visitors. Everything is done to put pressure on the competitors in a sort of competition for the most astonishing prototypes.
LG obviously intends to take its share of the pie, since the Korean manufacturer has already hit hard with its new PF600U video projectora device that will be able to meet various daily uses. But beyond its fan look (or Pixar lamp, your choice), what exactly does he have to offer us ? A look at this model which hopes to breathe a breath of fresh air onto the market.
Warm atmosphere, good music and films galore
We saw it this week with the Ascend screen from XGIMI, the trend seems to be towards multifunctional objects at this CES 2025. And LG was no exception to the rule, since the Asian brand arrived in Vegas with a new video projector that you can't miss in the aisles of the show: the PF900U.
It must be said that the most striking thing about this model is that it looks nothing (or almost) like a projector. Once lit, it can also act as a floor lamp with an almost vintage style by projecting a dim light against the wall thanks to its LED lighting and its 110° tilting head. The user will even have the choice between several colors and intensity levels to create a “cozy” atmosphere in your living space and at the same time, impress your guests by starting the beast.
Its compact and ingenious design also includes two Bluetooth speakers with warm, immersive sound which allow it to broadcast music without anyone knowing where it comes from. Without forgetting, of course, said lamp Full HD the 300 lumens ANSI and its webOS interface to project all kinds of programs effortlessly. It is therefore not surprising to see him crowned with a CES Innovation Award.
LG wants to reassert itself in the video projector sector
Faced with growing competition from numerous brands like a flashy video projector. And for that, there was probably nothing better than to ride the trend of vintage lighting and the “mid-century modern” style which has been making a comeback for some time.
But in addition to its admittedly divisive appearance (you either love it or you hate it), this model also aligns with the big fashion for compact video projectors. Currently, many people favor a discreet model – even if it means making concessions on image quality – over a larger device that is often unsightly in a living room. Even more so when it comes to replacing their TV.
At the moment, we do not yet know the price of this LG PF900U, but the Korean manufacturer will have a lot to do so that this new model can find yourself in our selection of the best mini-projectors of 2025. Especially since its rivals on the market are already offering ultra-aggressive prices. Let's wait and see what this gives, once tested…
