The 39th edition of the National Architect’s Day will take place on January 14 in Fez.
This event, organized by the National Council of the Order of Architects (CNOA), in partnership with the Ministry of National Land Planning, Town Planning, Housing and Urban Policy, is established in homage to the historic speech delivered by His Majesty King Hassan II on January 14, 1986 in Marrakech. The opportunity is to initiate reflection on the major climate challenges. A theme that summarizes the expectations and commitments of Moroccan architects, faithful to the royal vision of building a sustainable future. “As architects, we have a civic responsibility of prime importance. Our designs must anticipate future climate crises while meeting present needs. This day is a call for collective mobilization to place architecture at the service of sustainability and the preservation of our resources,” indicates Chakib Benabdellah, president of the National Council of the Order of Architects (CNOA).
Note that this day will be marked by conferences and debates, providing a platform for discussion around themes related to energy and water management.
It will explore architectural strategies aimed at strengthening the resilience of Moroccan buildings and cities.
