A previously kept secret affair was revealed by Liberation. The director of the “Jacques Mimran” school in Richard-Toll, JP Weynachter, a 54-year-old French national, was charged and placed under arrest for possession of child pornography.
According to the daily, the Special Cybercrime Division (DSC) detected a particularly active suspicious IP address from Richard-Toll, during its investigations into platforms for sharing child criminal content. “The investigations then formally made it possible to identify the accused, who happens to be the director of the primary and secondary school of the Cité des Cadres of the Compagnie Sucrière Sénégalaise (CSS),” reports Liberation.
During the search, investigators allegedly discovered several incriminating files on Mr. Weynachter’s phone. However, the latter denies any accusation of pedophilia.
The facts date back to last November, but it is only recently that the details of the case emerged, revealing a worrying situation for the local educational community.
