Review of anti-dumping duties on imports of PVC originating in the United States

The Morocco revises and extends the anti-dumping duty on imports of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coming from the UNITED STATES. This measure, initially provisional, is part of an investigation carried out by the competent authorities.

A provisional anti-dumping duty at a rate of 5.5% ad valorem was applied uniformly to all US PVC exporters.

This January 3, 2025, a joint decree of the Minister of Industry and Commerce and the Minister of Economy and Financeformalized the establishment of a right definitive anti-dumping at the rate of 24.88% for a period of five years. This decision marks an intensification of Morocco’s efforts to protect its local industry against the dumping practices observed on this strategic product.

Furthermore, the text specifies that the amounts recorded under the provisional anti-dumping duty, as well as the corresponding part of the TVAmust now be collected definitively. However, an exception is granted to imports accompanied by an invoice duly validated by the Department of Industry, which will not be subject to this additional duty. This measure came into force on January 3, 2025.
