So footballers, are we losing places?

It’s the start of the year, and there is a little tradition that we cannot escape: the famous top 50 of the French’s favorite personalities, proposed by the Sunday newspaper. This year, no Hugo Lloris or Didier Deschamps, who had become accustomed to appearing in this ranking, but all the same three well-known faces of French football: Zinédine Zidane, Kylian Mbappé and Antoine Griezmann. Zizou is placed in 17th^e position, one place lower than last year. A few ranks lost also for Grizou, moved from 26^e place at 32^e. And a more significant fall for the Kyks, 22^e last year and now 36^e.

Five other athletes present

2024 was an Olympic year, and the French therefore learned to love new faces. Léon Marchand, for example, makes a sensational entrance by rising to fifth position even though he was not ranked last year, just like the Lebrun brothers who arrive in 31^e place. Also note the good progress of Teddy Riner, who goes from 17^e place at 3^eand Antoine Dupont, who gains 30 places from 38^e at 8^e. Unsurprisingly, Jean-Jacques Goldman is still at the top, ahead of Omar Sy.
